Darłówko Zachodnie bathing area number 4 is located on the western coast of Darłów in the Baltic Sea. The beach has a shoreline of 100 meters. Water transparency in this area ranges from 8 to 16 meters depending on the season. The beach is classified as strongly wind-exposed and subject to large wave action. Water temperature ranges from 2°C in winter to approximately 22°C in summer.

Baltic Sea, Polish coastal waters of the Bornholm Basin. Average depth in Polish territorial waters at this location does not exceed 20 meters on average. Water transparency: 8–16 meters. Salinity: 5.0–8.1 ppt. Water temperature: 2°C in winter, 22°C in summer.

Location

Darłów, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Sławienski District, Poland. The bathing area is part of a cluster of beaches in the Darłówko Zachodnie (Western Darłówko) zone with several nearby facilities.

Facilities

Designated swimming zone, lifeguard (WOPR), lifeguard flag mast, toilets, rubbish bins, information board, swimming regulations available for review, ban on domestic animals.

01/07/2025 - 31/08/2025. Operating hours: 10:00–18:00.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as good in 2025, 2024, 2022, and 2021; excellent in 2023. Monitoring results from 2025 show E. coli levels of 15–580 CFU/100 ml and enterococci levels of 1–30 CFU/100 ml, all below maximum allowable concentrations of 1000 CFU/100 ml for E. coli and 400 CFU/100 ml for enterococci. All 2025 assessments indicate water suitable for bathing. A cyanobacterial bloom was reported on 07/08/2019.

Risks

Cyanobacterial bloom recorded on 07/08/2019, causing temporary bathing prohibition. Coastline is strongly exposed to wind and subject to large wave action.
