The OKiR bathing beach in Stryków is located on the Moszczenica River in the Łódź Voivodeship. The beach features a gentle sandy entrance and is divided by buoys into zones for swimmers and non-swimmers. Water quality flags indicate bathing conditions: white flags mean bathing is permitted, red flags indicate bathing is forbidden. The beach operates daily from 1 July to 31 August 2024, from 10:00 to 18:00, and is staffed by lifeguards equipped with rescue and medical equipment and radio communication.

Water

Moszczenica River. Shoreline length 40 metres. The water entry is gentle and sandy.

Location

Stryków, Legionów Street, Zgiersk District, Łódź Voivodeship. Free parking and toilets are available nearby. The beach is managed by the Ośrodek Kultury i Rekreacji (Culture and Recreation Centre) in Stryków.

Facilities

Lifeguards, toilets, changing rooms, designated swimming zones with buoys, flag mast (WOPR), water sampling point, waste bins, pontoon/pier, children's bathing area, children's play area on beach, external gym, equipment rental facility, cycling path. Pets are not permitted.

Season

1 July to 31 August 2024, daily from 10:00 to 18:00.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2024: Good. Maximum permitted concentrations: Escherichia coli 1000 CFU/100 ml, Enterococci 400 CFU/100 ml. In 2024, water assessments from June to August rated the water suitable for bathing. E. coli levels ranged from 24 to 144 CFU/100 ml, and Enterococci levels ranged from 17 to 76 CFU/100 ml. Cyanobacterial blooms were identified as a cause of unsuitability in previous years (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).

Risks

Cyanobacterial blooms occurred in past seasons (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), causing water unsuitability assessments. Macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation was documented.
