Przystań Brzegi is a bathing beach located in a former sand and gravel extraction pit approximately 12 km from central Kraków. The bathing area is a designated section of a water reservoir measuring 100 by 40 metres with an adjoining sandy beach. It is situated in the eastern part of the Przystań Brzegi recreational facility on reservoir number 1. The beach operates during the summer season from June to September, with opening hours from 10:00 to 18:00.

Water

Brzegi Reservoir II. The bathing area is a designated section measuring 100 by 40 metres with a shoreline length of 435 metres. Maximum water depth is 1.6 metres in the swimming area and approximately 0.8 metres in the non-swimming area. Water level is connected to groundwater levels and fluctuates by approximately tens of centimetres.

Location

Located in Kraków on Trakt Papieski street, Małopolskie Voivodeship, approximately 12 km from central Kraków near the boundary between Kraków city municipality and Wieliczka municipality.

Facilities

Fenced grounds, designated swimming zone in water, beach recreation and sports area, water drawing point, disabled access, waste bins, toilets, showers, changing rooms, WOPR flag mast, lifeguard, children's bathing area, children's beach area, pets prohibited, information board, bathing regulations available for review.

Season

19 June 2025 to 7 September 2025. Operating hours: 10:00–18:00.

Water Quality

Water classified as good quality in 2023 and 2021, and sufficient quality in 2022. Monitoring conducted by the facility manager at least 4 times per summer season and by the State District Sanitary Inspector in Kraków. Maximum permissible concentrations: Escherichia coli 1000 CFU/100 ml, Enterococci 400 CFU/100 ml. One measurement in 2022 showed unsuitable water quality due to E. coli and Enterococci exceeding limits.
