Staw Górny is an artificial surface water reservoir located in Pionki at Polna 81 street, situated 9 km downstream from the sources of the Zagożdżonka River. The reservoir is approximately 120–180 m wide (up to 250 m at its widest point) and about 800 m long. The bathing area is designated within approximately 40 m depth into the reservoir and 50 m along the shoreline. The nearest forest complex is located about 150 m from the bathing area, and there are no industrial areas in the immediate vicinity.
