TATAR is a municipal bathing beach located in Rawa Mazowiecka in central Poland on the Rawka River. The beach is conveniently situated on National Road 8 between Warsaw and Katowice. The facility hosts free swimming lessons for children and youth annually, offers WOPR lifeguard training courses, and regularly organizes sporting events including swimming marathons and triathlons.

Rawka River. Shoreline length: 50 metres.

Location

Rawa Mazowiecka, Tatar 1A, Łódź Voivodeship, Rawski County. Free parking available for approximately 50 cars; additional parking capacity near the adjacent sports hall. Located near a water port.

Facilities

Designated water zone, beach recreation and sports zone, pontoon and pier, water sports equipment mooring capability, water collection point, disabled access, waste bins, toilet facilities, WOPR flag mast, lifeguard on duty, children's bathing area, children's beach area, dog ban, bathing regulations available for review, information board.

Season

21 June 2025 to 31 August 2025. Operating hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00–18:00 (note: Thursday hours appear inconsistent in source as 10:00–10:00).

Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent for 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, and 2016. Permissible maximum concentrations: Escherichia coli 1000 CFU/100 ml; Enterococci 400 CFU/100 ml. Regular monitoring throughout the bathing season. Blue flag status as of last measurement on 31 August 2025.

Risks

Cyanobacterial bloom (zakwit sinic) occurred on 9 July 2024 and 12 July 2024, resulting in unsuitability classification on those dates. Algal blooms also recorded on 19 August 2022.
