Kaprije is a partially cultivated beach located in Šibenik, Croatia. The beach features a sandy surface with stone plates and is characterized by low and high vegetation. It stretches 400 metres in length with a width of 8 metres and has a mild coastal slope. The beach experiences an average sea temperature of 23.13°C during the swimming season.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during season is 23.13°C. Salinity ranges from 22.8 to 39.6 PSU. Tide amplitude is 28.2 cm. Prevailing wind direction is north.

Location

Šibenik, Croatia. The beach is accessible via pedestrian path. No parking is available at the beach.

Facilities

Benches, trash cans, and auxiliary facilities are available. Boat docking is nearby but outside the beach area. Mooring facilities are present.

Season

Monitoring conducted year-round with annual assessments and 4-year rolling assessments under both Croatian and EU regulations.

Water Quality

Annual water quality assessments have been conducted from 2009 to 2025, with 10 samples taken each year. Final assessments covering 4-year periods from 2009–2012 through 2022–2025 included 40 samples each. Quality classifications range from excellent to poor under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ.
