Karujärve is considered the most beautiful lake on Saaremaa island, located 4.5 km northwest of Kärla village on the Western Saaremaa highland, 32.2 m above sea level. The lake has a surface area of approximately 330 hectares with a maximum depth of 6 meters. The bathing area is a small sandy beach approximately 150 m long and 60 m wide, surrounded by forested terrain with gentle relief. The beach area contains waste bins, changing cabins, and toilets.
