Kiessee is a natural inland lake in Northeim with a designated bathing area covering approximately 47 hectares of the lake's total 80 hectares. A large portion of the lake is reserved for water sports including sailing, windsurfing, fishing, and diving. Gravel extraction occurs in the eastern section. A spacious meadow and specially designated bathing beach are available for swimmers.
