L'autre Bord is a bathing beach in the commune of Trinité located in the North Atlantic region of Martinique. The beach is situated in the Trinité hydrographic basin and receives water flow from a non-permanent stream during rainfall. The bathing area is protected and characterized by South-east winds and North currents that help disperse pollution.

Type 1 profile classification based on simulation of water quality according to Directive 2006/7/CE, indicating sufficient, good, or excellent water quality. Water quality assessment is based on sanitary control results from the four preceding bathing seasons.

Risks

Potential bacteriological contamination sources identified include discharges from three pump stations (école de pêche, CFPA, and Autre Bord). Impermeable soil due to high urban pressure creates significant runoff and pollution transfer risk. Sheltered water conditions favour bacterial survival.
