Lac d'Osselle-Routelle is a lake formed from former gravel extraction (gravière). It consists of two connected water bodies: the Corvée lake and the Prost lake. Bathymetric surveys have been conducted on these lakes.

Location

Osselle, in the Doubs department near Besançon, France. The bathing area is part of the Corvée lake recreational site managed by Grand Besançon Métropole.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified according to Directive 2006/7/CE. Historical water quality assessments from 2009 to 2018 show monitoring results tracked by the regional health authority (ARS). Cyanobacteria abundance has been documented on the Corvée beach from 2009 to 2018.

Risks

Cyanobacteria proliferation episodes have been identified as a risk. Agricultural activities, sanitation from the commune of Osselle and leisure facilities, road traffic risk, and fishing activities are documented as potential pollution sources.
