Côte Ouest - Le Méditerranée is a bathing beach located in Vias, Languedoc Roussillon, in the Hérault department. The beach is 900 metres long and 50 metres wide and is situated on the Mediterranean Sea. Swimming is permitted during the annual surveillance period from 29 June to 31 August, with daily supervision from 11:00 to 18:30.

Location

Vias, Languedoc Roussillon, Hérault department. GPS coordinates: 43.279183 N, 3.369227 E. The beach is managed by the Town of Vias. The bathing zone is marked by a swimming flag (pavillon des bains) positioned on a mast at the edge of the beach.

Facilities

Rescue post (poste de secours) staffed with 3 lifeguards on weekends. Site is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Rubbish bins are available. No showers, toilets, or drinking water facilities. Animals are not permitted.

Season

29 June to 31 August (annual surveillance period). Daily surveillance: 11:00 to 18:30.

The bathing water profile was created in December 2020 in accordance with European Directive 2006/7/CE. No ARS (health authority) data on water quality for this beach was available in 2021, so no statistical analysis or official classification could be made at that time.
