Location

Lestrevet beach is located in Finistère department, in the Porzay region of Brittany. The area is managed by the CCPCP (Communauté de Communes du Pays de Châteaulin-Porzay), headquartered in Châteaulin.

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring was conducted according to European Directive 2006/7/CE on bathing water quality. The profile assessed shellfish water classification standards and evaluated bacteriological contamination risks from identified pollution sources.

Risks

Potential pollution risks identified include discharges from collective and autonomous wastewater systems, agricultural runoff from grazed pastures and poor farming practices, natural water flows, animal presence on the beach, pleasure boat activities, and unsafe cassette toilet emptying practices.
