Licinella is a sandy beach bathing area located in Capaccio, in the Salerno province of the Campania region. The coastline features low terrain with extensive pine groves and residential settlements alternating with agricultural zones inland. The beach area includes tourist facilities and infrastructure.

Sandy coastal bathing water with low coastline. The bathing area includes the mouths of the Bonifica Canal and the Capo di Fiume stream.

Location

Capaccio, Salerno province, Campania region. The monitoring point is located at the mouth of the Capo di Fiume watercourse (Foce Capodifiume Nord).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020-2021-2022-2023). The bathing water is monitored at point IT015065025006_PS at the mouth of Capo di Fiume.

Risks

Identified potential pollution sources include the mouth of the Torre watercourse, pumping stations (Torre di Mare, Lido la Siesta, and another unnamed station), and an urban wastewater treatment plant with submarine outfall located at Gromola.
