Lido Ardore is a coastal bathing area located in the municipality of Ardore in the Calabria region. The beach features a sandy-gravelly composition with a geomorphological descriptor of a plain and alluvial fan coast. Sediment granulometry ranges from 0.18 to 2 mm. Water quality classification: Excellent. The water body is associated with the Casignana - Sant'Ilario dello Jonio watercourse and Torrente Schiavo drainage basin.

Risks

The mouth of Torrente Schiavo has been identified as a potential source of pollution. Short-term pollution events associated with urban runoff from urban areas have been characterised, with responsibility held by the municipality and province. No anomalous situations have been verified in recent years, and no harmful algal proliferation events have been recorded in the past four years.
