Priedaine is a bathing water on the Lielupe river. Water quality monitoring began in 2021. A long-term water quality assessment cannot yet be determined due to insufficient data; the assessment will be established after the 2024 bathing season when data from four seasons is available.

Water Quality

No pollution sources have been identified upstream of the bathing water. Potential episodic pollution may occur from emergency discharges of untreated wastewater from populated areas in the upper Lielupe or from illegal wastewater discharge, as well as from pollution entering from surrounding areas not connected to the central sewage system.
