Liimala is a bathing site located in the Gulf of Finland along Estonia's coast. The site has been classified as good quality in recent years, with very good classifications recorded in 2017 and 2018. Regular water quality monitoring has been conducted since at least 2017.

Liimala village, Lüganuse municipality, Ida-Viru County, Estonia. Managed by Lüganuse Municipal Government.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Good (2025, 2024, 2023); Very Good (2018, 2017); Unable to assess (2022, 2021, 2020, 2019). Monitoring data show faecal enterococci levels ranging from <10 to 120 CFU/100 ml and Escherichia coli levels ranging from <10 to 340 CFU/100 ml across samples from 2023–2025. Reference values are 100 CFU/100 ml for faecal enterococci and 1000 CFU/100 ml for E. coli.
