Lipovica is a cultivated pebble beach located in Opatija on the Croatian coast. The beach stretches for 1055 metres along a wavelike coastline and is characterized by a predominantly pebby surface with some concrete structures. The beach experiences low bather density during the swimming season and is managed by dio-Hotel Miramar i Liburnia Riviera hoteli.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during the season is 22.61°C. Salinity ranges from 33.96 to 38.5 during the season. Tide amplitude is 38.7 cm. Prevailing wind direction is north.

Location

Opatija. Parking is available at a charge. Beach access is via the coastline path.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 with ten samples taken each year under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ. Quality assessments over four-year periods have been conducted continuously from 2009–2012 through 2022–2025. Classifications recorded include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings.
