Water quality classification: elevated. One urban water treatment plant serving over 2000 inhabitants is active in the municipality. No specific monitoring for pollution concentration is currently active during the bathing season. Mollusk farming is identified as a pollution source.

Short-duration pollution events are under investigation for appropriate modeling approach. No anomalous situations have been verified.
