Calenella in Vico is a sandy beach bathing area located in the Foce Varano-Peschici water body in Puglia. The beach has been classified as Excellent for the period 2017–2020. The main potential pollution source is the presence of the Calenella Stream mouth, though no direct wastewater discharges to the sea have been recorded.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct wastewater discharges to the sea are present. The Calenella Stream mouth is identified as a potential point source of pollution. No short-duration pollution events have been recorded in the last four years.

Risks

The Calenella Stream mouth represents a potential pollution source. No cyanobacterial or macroalgal blooms have been detected. No toxic algal species proliferation has been observed.
