Spizzago is a bathing area located in San Felice del Benaco on Lake Garda in the Brescia province of Lombardia. The beach receives approximately 1,000 users daily during the summer season from June to August. The area covers 96,654 square metres and is situated at a minimum altitude of 65 metres above sea level. No significant construction works or infrastructure changes are currently taking place in the bathing water or its immediate vicinity.

Water quality classification is pending. Short-duration pollution events have been identified related to sewerage system failures and overflow outlets.

Risks

Emergency discharges from the sewerage system at the surface and at depth; stormwater runoff reaching the lake; cyanobacterial proliferation potential due to emergency discharges and meteorological changes. No previous cyanobacterial or macroalgae episodes have been recorded in the last four years.
