Lopud Šunj is a natural sandy beach located on the island of Lopud near Dubrovnik, Croatia. The beach stretches 280 metres in length with a width of 20 metres and features a mild coastal slope. The beach is situated on an indented coastline in an area outside urban development, with low vegetation of grass and bushes.

Adriatic Sea. Beach length 280 metres, width 20 metres. Average sea temperature 24.08°C during season. Salinity minimum 32, maximum 38.8. Mild coastal slope (less than 15 degrees) both above and below water. Tide amplitude 22.1 cm. Prevailing wind from the north.

Lopud, Dubrovnik. Access is by pedestrian path. No parking available at the beach.

Monitoring conducted annually with 10 samples per year (9 samples in 2009), indicating year-round assessment operations.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: excellent. Annual and multi-year assessments conducted under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ, with 10 samples per year from 2010 onwards (9 samples in 2009). Four-year rolling assessments show consistent monitoring from 2009 to 2025.
