Water Quality

Classified as Excellent according to Legislative Decree 30.05.08 No. 116 for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Wastewater from the area is conveyed to treatment plants at Monte di Procida (partially functioning plant with submarine outfall) and Naples West (Cuma).

Identified pollution sources include: the Lake of Miseno mouth effluent, emergency discharge from the Via Marconi lifting station, emergency discharge at Miliscola (submarine pipeline), emergency discharge from the Via G. da Procida lifting station, emergency discharge at Via Cimituozzo, and emergency discharge from the Via Roma lifting station.
