Moinho de Baixo-Meco is a quiet, long sandy beach frequently visited by families, known for its extensive sand and crystalline waters. It is the most internationally known Portuguese naturism area, though the sea can sometimes be rough.

No history of short-term pollution events. Zero days of bathing advised against or prohibited due to short-term pollution in the 2020 bathing season.

Risks

Potential for proliferation of cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton is unlikely.
