Naturfreibad Kessel is an artificial lake bathing area located in the lowlands of northwestern Germany. The bathing beach spans 300 metres along the shore of a 2.5-hectare water body integrated into a larger lake system. Water temperatures range from 15.0°C to 23.4°C with an average of 18.7°C, and transparency averages 2.7 metres. The lake has been designated as a bathing water under EU regulations since 1996 and has consistently received excellent quality ratings over the past four years.
