Osbysjön contains cyanobacteria, all species of which can produce dangerous toxins. Due to wind direction, toxin concentration has accumulated in the western parts around Spegeldammen, Sjöängen and Svarte Nabbe. The municipality advises against swimming in these western areas for both humans and animals, while recommending caution in other parts of the lake as well.
