Haffkrug is a former fishing village that has retained its relaxed atmosphere. The beach slopes gently into the water over a distance of more than 3 kilometres. It is now part of Scharbeutz and offers good infrastructure with shops, restaurants, and sports and leisure facilities near the beach.
