Ouro is a long sandy coastal bathing beach located west of Sesimbra on the moderately exposed mesotidal Atlantic coast. The water body features a tidal regime of 3.5 metres. During the bathing season, the site experiences average rainfall of 10.2 mm, average air temperature of 28 °C, prevailing northwesterly winds, and approximately 10 daily hours of sunshine. The beach has strong demand and is situated in the Ribeiras Costeiras do Sado river basin.
