Palmižana is a partially cultivated beach located on the Pakleni Islands near Hvar. The beach features a pebbled surface with rocky sections and low to high vegetation. The indented coastline has a mild underwater slope suitable for swimming. Average sea temperature during the season is approximately 24°C.

Adriatic Sea coast with mild underwater slope (less than 15 degrees). Average sea temperature 23.94°C during season. Salinity ranges from 36.3 to 39.4 PSU. Tide amplitude is 25 cm. Prevailing wind is north-west.

Location

Hvar, Hvar. Beach access is by pedestrian path. No parking is available at the beach.

Facilities

Floating safety lines for beach protection. Restaurant and trash cans available. Sea buoys and mooring facilities present. Boat docking is located more than 100 meters away from the beach.

Season

Monitoring conducted annually with 10 samples per year from 2014 through 2025. Four-year rolling assessment periods are used for final quality classification.
