Pentreath is located near Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula, reached via a steep, unofficial path off the coastal trail involving steps cut into the cliff and a rope for descent. The beach has grey, coarse sand and is enclosed by high cliffs, with no facilities on site and no access during storms.
