Petäjävesi has two public bathing beaches available for swimming. Kirkonkylän uimala is located at Matkailutie 7 in Petäjävesi town centre and features changing cabins, outdoor toilets, and a rental beach sauna. Kintauden uimaranta is situated at Pihlajaniemi 20 in Kintaus and offers changing facilities, outdoor toilets, and a beach volleyball court. Both beaches are monitored for water quality under EU bathing water regulations.

Kirkonkylän uimala: Matkailutie 7, 41900 Petäjävesi. Kintauden uimaranta: Pihlajaniemi 20, 41920 Kintaus. Payments and reservations for Kirkonkylän sauna are made at K-market Porkkanaan (Asematie 8).

Water Quality

Both beaches are monitored by Jyväskylän seudun ympäristöterveys (Central Finland Regional Environmental Health Authority) in accordance with health protection law and bathing water regulations. Water quality monitoring results are available for both sites.
