Aire de Réjallant is a bathing area in the commune of Condac in Charente department, consisting of two distinct bathing zones: Petite Baignade (Small Bathing Area) and Grande Baignade (Large Bathing Area). The site is located along the Charente river and includes amenities and facilities for swimmers. The area has been subject to official microbiological monitoring and quality assessments since at least 2000. A comprehensive bathing water profile was revised in March 2023.

Commune of Condac, Charente department, France. The bathing areas include Petite Baignade on the Condac side and Grande Baignade on the Ruffec side.

Zone d'affichage (information display area) and rescue post (poste de secours) are present at the site.

Water Quality

Microbiological monitoring has been conducted on both bathing zones. Results of sanitary controls are documented for Petite Baignade (Condac side) and Grande Baignade (Ruffec side). Water quality classification follows European bathing water regulations. Historical control results have been recorded since 2000.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified in the study area include rainwater runoff, collective sewerage system, wastewater treatment system discharges, non-domestic sanitation, agricultural activities, industrial activities, animal frequentation, and recreational bathing activity. Hydraulic malfunctions in the sewerage network have been documented.
