Water Quality

Water quality classified as good. Monitoring includes analysis of fecal coliforms, intestinal streptococci or enterococci, water transparency, phytoplankton, sediment composition, and cyanobacteria presence. Classification under the new European directive (2006/7/CE) ranges from insufficient, sufficient, good, to excellent.

Risks

Cyanobacteria proliferation is a pre-identified potential risk. Water transparency affects ecosystem conditions and drowning risk. Bacteriological risks related to fecal coliforms and intestinal streptococci are assessed. Animal proximity poses an identified risk.
