The bathing zone is classified as Excellent. E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations show stable trends from 2008 to 2010. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 11/07 ENSEADA DE BAIONA) is classified as Zone B with no historical contamination records.

Risks

No significant contamination risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No identified risk from localised discharges.
