Water Quality

Bathing zone classified as excellent. E-coli and Enterococcus concentrations monitored from 2008–2010, with levels consistent with excellent water quality classification. Adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 06/01 COSTA DA MORTE) has no recorded history of contamination (Zone B).

Risks

No significant risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No identified risk from localized discharges.
