Maritime water body in the Oia mass of water, part of the Galicia Costa hydrographic demarcation and the Pontevedra Coast basin between Baiona and Miño. Water body status is good. Beach dimensions: 73 meters long and 47 meters wide.

Location

A Guarda, Pontevedra Province, Galicia, Spain. The bathing zone is located at UTM coordinates 510372 (X) and 4640015 (Y) in UTM 29N (European Datum 1950).

Water Quality

The bathing zone is classified as excellent. E. coli concentrations and enterococcus levels measured between 2008 and 2010 showed compliance with excellent water quality standards. No historical contamination precedents are recorded for this bathing zone or the adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 11/1 Ria de Vigo - Zone B).

Risks

No significant risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No contamination risk from localized discharges identified.
