Maritime coastal water body. Length 870 metres, width 15 metres. Sandy composition. Located in the Ría de Viveiro river basin, belonging to the A Mariña Oeste water mass within the Galicia Costa hydrological division.

O Vicedo, Lugo province, Galicia, Spain. Monitoring point coordinates: UTM 611032 (X), 4841897 (Y), European Datum 1950, UTM 29N.

Water Quality

Water body status is classified as good. Microbiological monitoring shows excellent water quality classification based on E. coli and Enterococcus concentration data from 2008–2010. No historical contamination records identified for this bathing zone or adjacent shellfish production area (GAL 01/06-1 Ría de Viveiro EXT, Zone B).
