Location

Arnados is located in the municipality of Carballo, province of A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. The beach is part of the Malpica landscape region within the Baldaio sector.

Facilities

No lifeguards on duty. No disabled access facilities. No toilets, showers, or water sports facilities (diving, surfing) are available. No mooring zone. No waste bins.

Season

The bathing season comprises June to September.

Water Quality

The water body maintains a good overall status with very good ecological status and good chemical status. Historical classification shows the zone was rated as insufficient in 2016 and sufficient in 2017. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 06/02 Baldaio) is classified as zone B. No significant risk from phytoplankton or cyanobacteria has been detected. No significant presence of jellyfish has been recorded.

Risks

A significant short-duration contamination risk has been identified linked to heavy precipitation events. The area has a population density of 167 inhabitants per km², which exceeds the threshold for risk identification. The zone has a record of contamination, and heavy rainfall alerts trigger the significant risk classification.
