Camariñas municipality, Galicia, Spain. Reference locality: Arou. Coordinates: UTM 491480 X, 4781702 Y (European Datum 1950, UTM 29N).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. E. coli concentrations measured from 2008–2010 showed levels consistent with excellent classification. Enterococcus concentrations similarly indicated excellent water quality. The adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 06/01 is classified as Zone B with no historical contamination background.

Risks

Short-duration contamination risk identified from occasional discharges associated with precipitation episodes, flagged with yellow alert for precipitation intensity. No localized discharge risks identified.
