Annual water quality classification: good in 2016, 2017, and 2018; excellent in 2019. State assessment in 2014 was acceptable; 2017 state was good. Identified pollution sources include sewage outfalls, point discharges from septic tanks and vessels, and rainwater runoff.

Short-duration pollution episodes (under 72 hours) recorded in 2016, 2017, and 2019. One exceptional circumstance pollution episode (over 72 hours) in 2018. Occasional phytoplankton proliferation and occasional jellyfish presence.
