Playa Casita Azul is a natural Atlantic coastal beach in Isla Cristina, Huelva, Andalucía. The beach stretches 1300 metres in length with an average width of 80 metres and features golden sand composition. It experiences moderate wave conditions and mesomareal tides ranging from 2 to 4 metres. The beach is semi-urbanized with moderate occupation levels.

Atlantic coastal waters in the Gulf of Cádiz. Shallow waters with sandy substrate. Mesomareal range of 2-4 metres. Current regime dominates toward the south, south-southeast, and southeast. Wave regime predominantly from the west and secondarily from the southeast. Moderately exposed to wave action.

Location

Isla Cristina, Huelva, Andalucía. Easy pedestrian access to the beach. A sports marina is located in Isla Cristina.

Rescue equipment, surveillance team, signage, promenade, walkways, disabled access, toilets, showers, waste bins, cleaning service.

Water quality classified as Excellent for the 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 monitoring seasons. Low short-term microbiological contamination risk from diffuse sources related to land use, built surfaces, and altered areas. Low risk of jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae proliferation.
