Ferrol, A Coruña province, Galicia, Spain. The bathing area is situated in the Ría de Ferrol within the Golfo Ártabro landscape region. Parking with more than 100 spaces is available.

Water body ecological status is good or superior. Chemical status is good. Overall water body status is good or better. Classification in 2019 and 2020 was excellent. Adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 03/08 AS PIAS has B/C classification status.

Risks

Significant risk from short-duration contamination due to occasional discharges associated with heavy precipitation events identified. Population density in the area is 819 inhabitants per km². No significant presence of jellyfish detected during 2018-2020. No evidence of phytoplankton or cyanobacteria risks detected.
