Arenal-Bol is a beach located in the municipality of Calpe in Alicante province, Valencia. The beach has a closed longitudinal configuration with perpendicular breakwaters and a rigid seafront promenade. It has a shoreline length of 1,335.8 metres with an average width of 31.1 metres and is composed of sand. The beach is bordered to the north by Cantal Roig beach and to the south by La Manzanera beach.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023). Monitoring conducted weekly during bathing season by visual inspection parameters. Factors of short-duration contamination identified: rainfall (low frequency, mild effect), urban wastewater (low frequency, mild effect), coastal discharges (low frequency, mild effect). Other potential risk factors include rivers/channels, industrial installations, port facilities, and diffuse pollution—all assessed as low frequency with mild effect. No cyanobacteria, macroalgae, or unusual phytoplankton blooms detected.

Risks

Discharge from Barranco Pou Roig Quisi (intermittent, medium risk). Jellyfish possible due to natural coastal phenomena and water temperature conditions. Phytoplankton blooms possible in areas with low water renewal.
