Playa de Bovetes is a bathing beach located in Denia, Alicante, in the Valencia region of Spain. It features an open longitudinal configuration with no defensive structures or promenade. The beach has a sandy composition of artificial origin, measuring 1,837.6 metres along the high tide line with an average width of 54.5 metres. It is bordered to the north by Playa de Molins and to the south by Playa de Marines.

Water

Maritime bathing zone in a coastal water body. Low-accumulation coast with microtidal range. Water flows from south to north. The coastal water mass belongs to the Júcar River Basin Demarcation and is classified as coastal water type 1 with good status.

Location

Denia, Alicante, Valencia, Spain. The beach is accessible via multiple access points within the municipality. Parking is available. Accessible facilities for persons with disabilities are provided.

Water quality is classified as excellent according to 2020–2023 monitoring results. The beach is monitored weekly during the bathing season. Potential short-term contamination risks are low: rainfall frequency is low with mild impact, urban sewerage poses low risk with mild impact, and coastal discharge poses low risk with mild impact. Industrial installations, harbour facilities, and diffuse pollution are also low frequency with mild impact.
