Morro Blanc is a cove-style beach located in El Campello municipality in Alicante province, Valencian Community, Spain. The beach has a sandy composition with a mean width of 16 metres and a high-water line length of 200 metres. It is protected by perpendicular breakwaters and bordered by small cliffs to the north and south. The beach is situated in an urban area with low-accumulation coastal characteristics and microtidal conditions.

Water

Marine bathing water located in the Júcar hydrographic demarcation. Coastal water mass (CW Costura) with microtidal range. Current direction flows from south to north. Annual precipitation in the influence zone is 246 millimetres with mean monthly precipitation of 20.5 millimetres. Wettest month is April; driest month is July.

El Campello municipality, Alicante province, Valencian Community, Spain. No parking available. Access to the beach is available but not adapted for persons with disabilities.

Facilities

Chiringuito/bar available. Toilets available in chiringuitos. Buoys and markers present. No lifeguard service. No showers or foot-washing facilities. No accessible services point. Other activities available. Medium bather density during bathing season.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as excellent. The water body achieves very good status under the Water Framework Directive. Monitoring point PM1 is located between the breakwaters at coordinates 730157, 4258741 (ETRS89, zone 30). No direct discharges to the coastline affect the beach. Urban sewerage connections and natural geographical accidents such as ravines are absent. Weekly visual inspection monitoring is conducted during the bathing season evaluating water analysis, water appearance, and sand cleanliness.

Risks

Potential short-duration contamination risks are infrequent with light impact: rainfall (low frequency, light impact), urban sewerage (low frequency, light impact), coastal discharges (low frequency, light impact). Rivers and canals, industrial installations, port facilities, and diffuse pollution all present low frequency and light impact. No environmental control point deemed necessary due to absence of direct coastal discharges or urban sewerage connections. Cyanobacteria proliferation is not typically detected in coastal Valencian waters. Jellyfish proliferation is a natural phenomenon associated with coastal geomorphology, climatic conditions, and elevated water temperatures.
