Playa del Carrer La Mar is a marine bathing zone located in El Campello municipality, Alicante province, Valencia region. The beach has an irregular closed configuration with perpendicular breakwaters and a rigid maritime promenade. It is bounded to the north by the El Campello fishing port and to the south by Muchavista beach. The beach has a shoreline length of 1,435.2 meters and a mean width of 68 meters.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2020–2023: Excellent. Water body status: Very good. Monitoring point (Calle Pizarro) has been in operation since 1988. Weekly inspections conducted during bathing season assess visual inspection parameters including water appearance, water analysis, and sand cleanliness.

Risks

Sporadic discharge from Riu Sec (Rio Montnegre) at the southern boundary classified as low risk. Low frequency and minor impact from rainfall, urban sanitation, coastal discharge, rivers/channels, industrial facilities, port installations, and diffuse pollution. No cyanobacteria proliferation has been detected in the Valencia coastal region.
