Playa del Pinar is a maritime bathing zone located in Castellón de la Plana, in the province of Castellón, Valencia region of Spain. The beach has a longitudinal open configuration with an artificial sandy composition and no defense structures. It features a wooden promenade along the shoreline. The beach is bounded to the north by Playa del Gurugú and to the south by the port of Castellón.

Water

Maritime bathing area in coastal waters of the Júcar hydrographic district. The shoreline measures 1,739.2 meters in length with a mean width of 115.1 meters. The beach is situated on a low accumulation coast. Water current direction is south to north. The area experiences a microtidal range.

Location

Castellón de la Plana municipality, Castellón province, Valencia region, Spain. Parking is available. The beach is accessible with disabled access facilities.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as Excellent based on monitoring results from 2020–2023. Monitoring point: Calle Copacabana (coordinates: 758457, 4430627). Weekly inspections assess visual parameters and water analysis. The Acequia d'En Trilles is an intermittent natural watercourse with low-risk discharge to the coast. The urban wastewater treatment plant (EDAR Castellón de la Plana) has a project flow capacity of 45,000 m³/day and discharges through a submarine outfall 2,454 meters long at a maximum depth of 15.2 meters.
