Del Hoyo is a natural coastal bathing beach in Isla Cristina, Huelva, Andalusia, located on the Atlantic coast in the Gulf of Cádiz. The beach extends 650 metres in length with an average width of 75 metres and features golden sand composition. It experiences moderately exposed wave conditions with dominant westerly waves and moderate bathing conditions. The beach is moderately occupied and non-urbanised, with vegetation present and situated within a protected public forest area.

Coastal Atlantic water body in the Gulf of Cádiz. Shallow waters with sandy substrate. Mesotidal range of 2–4 metres. Dominant currents flow towards the south, south-southeast, and southeast. Moderately exposed to waves with dominant westerly regime and secondary southeast direction.

Location

Isla Cristina municipality, Huelva province, Andalusia. Easy pedestrian access to the beach. The nearest sports port is Isla Cristina.

Facilities

Lifeguard equipment present. Toilets, showers, and waste bins available. Disabled access provided. Signage for hazards and general information present. Boardwalks available. Cleaning service operational. No Red Cross station. No water sports rental or nautical club.

Classified as excellent water quality for all four monitoring seasons: 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Low short-duration microbiological contamination risk. Low risk of jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae proliferation.
