Primary pollution source: Guadalhorce River and Guadalhorce wastewater treatment plant (EDAR Guadalmar, MA040, urban treated discharge). Diffuse sources include land use in the influence zone, built surfaces, and altered areas. Proliferation risks: low for jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae.

Short-term microbiological contamination risk of low magnitude from the Guadalhorce River and wastewater treatment plant.
