Maritime bathing zone in the Ría de Viveiro watershed, part of the Galicia Costa hydrographic demarcation. The water body is classified as Puerto de San Cibrao.

Location

San Cibrao, Xove municipality, Lugo province, Galicia, Spain. Coordinates: UTM 29N 622636 X, 4841062 Y (European Datum 1950).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. Monitoring data from 2008–2010 shows E. coli concentrations declining from approximately 400 to 300 ufc/100 ml, and Enterococcus concentrations remaining stable around 100–200 ufc/100 ml.

Risks

No short-duration contamination risks identified from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events or localized discharges. No historical contamination precedents recorded.
