Boiro, Galicia, Spain. Reference locality: Abanqueiro. UTM coordinates: 512251 X, 4720024 Y (European Datum 1950, UTM 29N).

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent. E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations remained low across monitoring periods (2008–2010), indicating excellent microbiological quality. No historical contamination antecedents identified for the bathing zone or the adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 09/06 ENS. RIANXO E VILAGAR, Zone B).

Risks

Short-duration contamination risks from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events: not significant. Localized discharge risks: not identified.
